Installation
Installation of OBIEE
11.1.1.5 version on Windows XP with 3GB Ram. I have used VMware work station to
install the tool. The complete installation has two parts 1) RCU Installation
and 2) OBIEE11g Installation.
Pre-requisites
Install the Oracle11.1.1.7 database with Microsoft Loopback adapter.
Download the required installation files from Oracle and unzip the files into the same directory.

First begin installing RCU
bat file.
Go to the RCU (Repository creation Utility) rcuHome\BIN directory and double click on rcu.bat file.
Click on next
Click on create and click next
Provide the sys credentials with system host name, port and service name and click next.
System will check the prerequisites, ignore this warning.
Click ok
Select the components to create repository and click next.
Click ok
Provide the password for the schemas created in the previous step. (Password: admin)
Click next
Click ok
Click ok
Click on create
We have installed the RCU successfully.
