OBIEE11g Error – Unable to Obtain Lock on Adminserver.lok
If you are getting the below error when starting the OBIEE11g service.
“Unable to obtain lock on adminserver.lok”
This could be because of two reasons, Weblogic server is already running or Weblogic server did not stop correctly.
When Weblogic server starts, it automatically creates a file called AdminServer.lok under the below path folder
D:\OBIEE11g\user_projects\domains\bifoundation_domain\servers\AdminServer\tmp.
How to fix it:
1. Stop the OBIEE11g Services.
2. Go to the above tmp folder and delete the file “AdminServer.lok”
3. Start the OBIEE11g service.
The Weblogic server will work now.
